Andrew Coulbeck, MD of JCS Fish Ltd, began his career in his family firm, Richard Coulbeck Ltd. A well-established and well-respected company
mainly exporting dogfish and winner of a Queen’s award in the 1990’s.
Andrew then moved to work with Jack Carlisle Smith’s firm Jack Smith’s
Ltd, renowned for sourcing wild salmon from Scotland and Ireland,
and selling to UK and European markets. This was the start of his vast knowledge and experience in salmon.
Jack Carlisle Smith himself passed on fifty years of his own experience and knowledge of salmon to Andrew, who went on to run the company taking his
30 years’ knowledge to set up his own company naming it in honour of Jack Carlisle Smith himself - JCS Fish Ltd.
JCS Fish Ltd. was then founded in 2000 by Andrew and his wife Louise.
Louise brought her own wealth of knowledge attained from 20 years of running her own business to the company bringing a diverse female forward thinking approach.
In 2008 as the business continued to evolve it became apparent that there was a need to develop into new markets and invest further in JCS Fish Ltd, at which stage John Grey was appointed as Commercial Director. John has a vast experience in the food service industry and fresh approach to NPD taking the company to the next level. John is well respected and his good communication skills will allow JCS Fish Ltd to build on its strong relationships with its customers and suppliers.
