The team at JCS Fish is committed to making our business as 'green' as it can be. We're particularly focused on minimising our use of energy and materials and maximising our use of every part of every salmon we buy. In 2017 we set up an internal 'Eco Group' to help regularly review our environmental impact and seek areas for improvement.
To help our business grow in an environmentally responsible way, we have also been part of the Investors in the Environment (iiE) scheme since 2015. This helps us benchmark our progress and identify areas for improvement. Environmental understanding and technology are moving quickly and our commitment to iiE helps us keep pace.
As a food business, our packaging agenda is a major part of our environmental planning. Our aims are to both minimise the amount of packaging we use and maximise the recyclability of the materials we do use.
